Keyboard Keeps Going Out of Sync

So my iPhone's texting keyboard keeps hitting the wrong keys. Half way through a text message it will start hitting adjacent keys and I have to stop what I'm typing and either reset the phone or lock it and let it sit for 30 seconds.

I have cleaned the screen, know it's not my fingers, and am flat out frustrated.

Does anyone know of a permanent fix?

I am also having a similar problem... I thought for a while that it seemed linked to using Emoji, but am now not so sure... Any help would be appreciated here as well.

Keeps happening to my wife, thought it was just her till it happened to me also. Will suddenly start hitting the key to the left of where I am touching.

I also think it may have something to do with Emoji. Never happened before, but I keep getting the feeling it happens after I use the Emoji keyboard.
