Keyboard Lag Help Needed

Have had my G3 for about a week and am very pleased. However, the email reply and new email key stroke is EXTREMELY SLOW! IM and other features are working fine with immediate keystroke action. Any clue? Is this normal?

It's making it virtually impossible to reply or compose a new email.

I've read in other forums that it may be a firmware problem, but I am current with 2.0.2.

Any advice?
