Hi! I just noticed my applications running with X11 doesn't let me use some symbols like the =. If I change the layout to U.S. letters and numbers are working, but not other symbols. Is it possible to fix that? Thanks!

X11 applications are not MacOX-native. Their behavior is determined by the specific window manager and by the features of the specific application.

Yes but... how do I change it? If I change the layout in the input menu of mac os, I see it changes in the application. If I use the Italian layout, everything is messed up, if I use U.S. something works but not everything. Should I change it from the application? I tried with the X11 preferences, but nothing changed...

You have given absolutely no information that would be useful in helping you:
  • Which application are you using?
  • Is it running under a windows manager (UNIX GUI)? If so, then which one?

I tried with Wireshark and The Gimp. Both behaves the same way. I don't know which WM they use, I only see the icon of X11 appears.
