Not sure if I'm going mad - but the keyboard light seems to work different on these new Macbook Pro's..

On the old model I thought the light came on when you pressed a key on the keyboard. But on the new model the light only comes on when you press a key AND you are in a dark room..

Looks like they have changed the way it works (unless I really am going mad ! )

It would surely save battery power if it was only turned on only when light level was low.

Every Macbook Pro with lighted keyboard that I've ever seen has had one or more light sensors so that the keyboard is only lit when it's dark. It auto-adjusts to ambient light. Would be odd to light it when not needed.

Now if only they would make it so that the light comes up only through each key (like in the original models from '06-'08) instead of being thrown everywhere around the keys too.
