Keyboard lights - permanently turn off

How do I keep always the keyboard lights off ? When I turn on my macbook pro it is always on .It should work in bootcamp because actually I never use OSX . For me these lights is such an useless feature and wastes the battery ( for me ! ) .

adjust keyboard brightness at low light is already disabled . This doesnt help in anything .

I know how to turn off . the problem is that always I turn my mac , the lights is on . I want them never bother me again .

Open it up, snip the wire.


Is the light that's bothering you or the minuscule power consumption? Apple is anal about battery performance and it doesn't bother them.

the lights annoy me . no , i will nott open it and remove the wires....
