Hi all.

Something weird is going on with my setup. I have a Macbook Air M1 running MacOs26, but the problem already occured with the last Os and started a few days ago. It worked fine until last week for over 2 years.

I am using a USB C hub to connect my Wireless Mouse & Keyboard (iClever), my external monitor and Power. All of sudden, the Mouse & Keyboard dont work anymore. When I connect my Windows Laptop to the hub, everything works well --> Keyboard and Mouse work + the Hub works.

When I use another USB A Hub to only connect the Keyboard and Mouse via the wireless dongle to my Macbook, it works as well.

So pretty much the hardware works fine, only with my Set up running for over 2 years just stopped working. What could have happened here and is there something I could try to fix it?

Is your regular USB hub powered (with its own power supply), or not...?

I finally figured it out. The USB C extension cable I used was plugged in the wrong way. Turned it 180 degrees and now everything works fine again. Weird, that there is a specific way, but only required for Mac, not for windows. Whats even weirder. I unplugged it like 18 times and must have plugged it back 18 times wrong.
