My sister just bought a new mouse but it didn't work on her mac, it did work however on her boyfriends windows pc. So we tried to find out the problem, and someone suggested to try out an usb debug thingy: https://developer.apple.com/downloads/index.action?q=IOUSB So we installed it. Though after restarting (which the installer asked us to do) the mouse and keyboard became unresponsive.
Now I tried the recovery hd and repaired the disk and disk permissions (nothing to repair on the disk, some permissions were fixed.) Also, the mouse and keyboard work perfectly in the recovery thing.
Anyone any ideas on what I could try more to get it to work again?
Edit: We don't have any time machine backups to restore.
Edit2: I fear we might have installed the wrong version of that USB debug thingy. Is there any way to uninstall this from the recovery hd thing?
Edit3: Solved it by reinstalling lion. It even kept all the data, which is awesome!
