So I've got a Windows machine on the same desktop as my iMac. They've got separate monitors, but I'd really like to be able to use only a single mouse and keyboard. I've heard of virtual KVMs, but I don't need any kind of screen sharing features; I just need to be able to use the mouse & keyboard to control both machines simultaneously. Anyone know of a good option for doing this?

And before you say, "Just get a real KVM," I have one. No luck getting it to work properly so far; I suspect it wants to have VGA connected to it in order to work. Maybe I can give it some kind of false VGA signal somehow, but until I figure out how to do that I'd really like some kind of software stopgap solution.

Figured it out on my own. Turns out Synergy was the right call. Exactly what I needed. Mods, feel free to close this thread.
