So after my big drop last year I replaced the top case on my 15" mbp. I won a used case on ebay, only it had a bad keyboard. So all I did was take the keyboard out of the ebay one and replaced it with my working keyboard from my old, dented case.

I have lost backlight , and I'm pretty sure it's a power issue (not anything that can be remedied by that one backlight app everyone talks about--- already tried Lab Tick.) Keyboard has worked fine, but I think that the connector near the left fan (dvd side) might be messed up. It looks fine and I've reseated it twice, but still no go.:(

If you've taken apart a unibody keyboard before, you know that the backlight is a black sticky sheet. I wonder if the leds are on but are not aligned properly?

Any thoughts? Thanks!
