I am a computer tech for PC's friend brought me his MacBook Pro he bought in 2010. It wont let him enter his password for access because it is type in weird characters. I have tried several different options I even made sure it was set to US English. Even looked up options like resetting SMC and tried that to no solution. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated new at working on Macs. Thank you

It is possible to re-set the admin password if your friend has lost it, or if corruption has occurred:
