Keyboard problems in Sierra

I have a MacPro 5,1 that I just updated to Sierra. I am using an older wired apple extended keyboard. the volume and eject buttons above the number pad don't work. The rest of the number pad works fine. Other function keys seem to work also. Any idea why the volume and eject keys don't work?
