If I have my keyboard replaced on a 2017 15" MacBook Pro, will they also replace the battery? I've been putting off having my keyboard replaced under the replacement program due to sticking keys, etc., but I'm going to send it in now. I've also been getting a service battery warning and the computer is out of warranty, so that's a $300 repair. But I'm wondering if my keyboard replacement will also replace the battery since it's attached to the top case. I feel like I remember hearing that they replace the battery too.

Any insight?

Maybe I can get out of this at no cost, which would be awesome.

The "keyboard replacement" replaces the ENTIRE TOP CASE of the laptop.
I believe that includes the battery as well.

If you have sticking keys, I suggest you get this done RIGHT AWAY.
The free replacement program lasts 4 years, after which YOU must pay.
The repair cost is around $750 -- just to fix ONE KEY.

My advice:
Make the appt. with an Apple genius bar TODAY.
Or... if the genius bars in your area are closed due to covid... call Apple TODAY.

If you "snooze" on this... you're gonna lose.
Consider yourself as having been duly warned...
