So, the space key on my MacBook got stuck for the second time, after having the keyboard replaced once. Also, the computer says "Service Battery." I took it to the Genius bar. To replace the battery they basically replace the whole computer, sans the screen, at $575, which according to the person at the Genius bar will also solve the keyboard problem automatically -- since I get a new computer with the exception of the screen. Fortunately, it's still under AppleCare, so I don't pay. So far, so good. But my issue with this whole story is

1. To replace the battery costs $575 because it's glued into the computer and they have to replace everything. That's rather absurd. If not for AppleCare, it would be disastrous.
2. These keyboards are so fragile. This is my second time to replace it.
3. They keep the computer for 5-10 days. Fortunately I also have a MacBook Pro, so I'm OK. But what are people who don't have a second computer going to do? Take a 2 week involuntary vacation?

So, I got my computer back. Now come the question: I have half a year of AppleCare left. After that I'm on my own. Since this is the second keyboard replacement, I don't trust the keyboard. What is the best way to once again avoid stuck keys. A keyboard cover?

Best way to avoid stuck keys? Sell the thing and wait for Apple to get their act together with these crappy MB/MBP keyboards. Seriously. I'd dump it pronto on eBay or Craig's List while there's still some warranty left on it.
