Hi, I'm wanting to get a keyboard/mouse combo, that has BT and wifi where you could switch the keyboard and the mouse would switch with it. Anyone seen something like that?

My screens are handled with an HDMI matrix, and I've never been able to use BT with a windows machine, this will switch between a PC mini and a Mac mini M4.

Any ideas appreciated, Thanks

Maybe my experience is limited, but I've never heard of keyboards or mice that connect via wifi...

Yeah I bought one of these:

Dual-Mode(Bluetooth+2.4G) Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse for iPad Mac,

but it was not very good and couldn't connect to the mac. They have a dongle and I thought that it used wifi to communicate between the dongle and the keyboard/mouse. That's probably what I want,
It should probably be BT+ USB.

I have 2 keyboards and 3 mousesiz. One mouse is just for the security camera server so it would stay but like to find something that works on pc and mac that works.

Thanks

Does the HDMI matrix also support USB so that you can plug the USB dongle into and share with the two computers?

Typically, one would use a KVM switch in this type of setup. The keyboard, mouse (or USB dongle), and video would be plugged into that. Then when you switch computers/monitors, it sends the keyboard/mouse commands to the right computer.

There are keyboards/mice that can be paired to multiple computers via BT, but I'm not aware of any where switching the keyboard also switches the mouse.

I've basically accepted the fact that BT wireless doesn't work well with switching between 2 different computers on a regular basis. My solution was to buy a logitech mouse/keyboard wireless set and use a usb switch to switch between the mac and the pc.

I will give that a try, seems like I have a usb switch around here, Just have to find it. Thanks

Sorry, didn't see your post. Yeah the matrix lets me put any source on any screen, so 3 computers and a Tivo on two TV''s and an HDMI recorder, matrix's get pricey when you get more than 4x4 but they're all HDMI. A USB matrix that switched automatically would be cool.
This is my remedy for Alzheimer's, just remembering which what is where.
Thanks

I use a Logitech Craft keyboard, it will allow three devices to attach with it. you get a Logitech unified receiver with it. I just have 2 mice.
Oh yeah, forgot about that one. You can also pair with the MX Master which allows up to 3 different bluetooth or unified receiver with it. So OP does have options.

I found the best setup for this is BT to Mac devices and usb dongle to Windows/other devices. That way there’s no issue going from one or the other. I do this with my logitech G915tkl keyboard. Mouse though i just use two mice. Gaming wired mouse for windows and mx anywhere for mac on bt.

I had a USB switch left over from last year, I was switching a hard drive from mac to PC, it worked but was a bit finicky, I moved to a NAS solution that I'm really liking. So anyway I'm using that switch for my keyboard/mouse and that's working fine, Thanks for all the input!

Corsair K100 Air keyboard. USB dongle for PC. BT for Mac. Switches via keyboard macro.

Fantastic keyboard and switches seamlessly between both computers.
