Keyboard Shortcut for Menu Bar Item

I am not sure if this is possible and my research has not given me a clear answer.

I would like to create a keyboard shortcut to trigger an action from something in my menu bar

Example
FreeMemory Pro I'd like to be able to hit a combination of keys and have it run the button 'Free Memory"

So the mouse clicks that make that happen are
-Select Free Memory Pro in Menu Bar
-Click Top Button "Free Memory"
