I'm trying to find a keyboard shortcut to toggle the check box in the "Keyboard Preferences" titled "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys".
Or, what would be even better, would be a way to enable this feature when specific apps are focused. (i.e. Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop... you know the apps I use function keys for).

i made myself an automator script and put it on f13 since its above the fn key!
i'm not really satisfied with this solution though.... does somebody know how to do this with apple script?

I'm looking for the exact same thing, but it doesn't seem to exist :(

I'd like to do it from Starcraft, because I really need the F1-12 keys, but I sometimes forget to turn this option on/off before starting the game.

oohh, would you mind sharing the AppleScript? I'd like it to toggle before and after playing Starcraft 2 :p

Just in case someone is interested, it works on Lion too ! (Can't try on ML and Maverick)

But the Macsteps website is down...

Thank you very much for the script ! ;)
