Hey everyone. I tried a basic search before posting and didn't find any related topics but there's a good chance I just missed it.

Anyway, I love my Mac but ever since switching (over 2 years ago), something has bothered me. I don't like how in Finder, I can't hit return/enter to go into a folder. Now I'm beginning to think that there has to be a way to do it, I just don't know how. Or if not, I can bind a key. Can anyone help me out?

Cmd+down arrow or cmd+o will both open a folder in Finder.

You can bind keys in system preferences- Keyboard and Mouse - Keyboard shortcut, however I don't think you can change enter from rename to open this way (or at all).
