You know how in Windows you can use the tab key to tab through fields in a dialogue box until the OK or Cancel button is selected, then use the enter key to execute one's choice? Well how does one do that in Leopard?

For example, I am entering a lot of transactions into my accounting software (MYOB) and each entry has to be recorded by hitting the OK button. It's highlighted in blue but hitting the enter key doesn't do it and I cannot tab to it. It would speed things up greatly if I didn't have to keep mousing to the button.

Thanks

In MYOB, for some reason, Enter doesn't work but Return does (at least for me). Anything highlighted in blue should work that way.

System Preferences > Keyboard and Mouse >Keyboard Shortcuts > Full Keyboard Access (can be found at the bottom) > All Controls.

After that, you can use TAB to jump to different options in such dialogs, use the Space bar to select the blue circled option and the Enter/Return key to select to fully blued option.

Ah, I'm on a Macbook so have only the enter key. I'll check the Full Keyboard Access feature when I'm back at work - I forgot to bring the Macbook home tonight and am having to deal with Windows right now

Actually, the Return key is default on a MacBook. It has both labels on it if I remember correctly. Anyways, it works fine on my MacBook, so that might not be the issue.
