When I change the keyboard language from English to German, certain keyboard shortcuts stop working. For example - the command + tab shortcut works for switching apps but the command + ~ shortcut doesn't work for switching windows. How do I fix this?

Sadly there is no ~ key on German keyboards, thus I have to switch to the English keyboard layout to use the ~ key for commands, as it can only be typed via OPTION+N on the German layout, but can't be used as shortcut.
You could look into Witch though.

Thanks, but this really shouldn't matter. I can just change the shortcut to whichever key corresponds to that position on a German keyboard (no matter if it's ~ or something else). But I have no idea how to change the shortcut. I don't know where to look for it in the Keyboard shortcuts section of System Preferences. I don't see any section that says "Global Shortcuts" or anything like that. Little help?
