Hi All....

Am wondering if it is possible to set-up a keyboard (key-combination) that will simulate the 'left-mouse-button-hold' function ?

In general ....
I use a 23 in monitor and a remote keyboard in front of me, to type.
I use the trackpad on my MBA (with right-hand) to control mouse movement.
I have both screens active but primarily use the large screen in front of me

But when doing a long drag-n-drop (say files from finder to trash) .... I currently use both hands on the trackpad (left-hand holds the left-mouse button, and right hand drags the item to trash).

So I'd like to find a keyboard function that will allow me to perform a left-mouse-button-hold, using my left-hand on the remote keyboard in front of me.

That would allow me to keep my left-hand on the remote keyboard, instead of reaching across with my left hand to the track-pad on the MBA, on my right side.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this ?

Thanks in advance for your attention,
Freddy-Fredster

You can use the 3 finger drag gesture right? (Check gestures under trackpad in system preferences)
