I was hoping to buy a Macbook Pro, but when I was typing on it in the store, my thumb kept hitting the metal body of the keyboard when I was hitting the space bar. I even tried tilting the keyboard a bit and it still happened. Really irritating, but I think I'm the only person who is bothered by this. I could get a separate keyboard, but I want a laptop where I can use the laptop's keyboard, not have to buy a separate one. Was anyone else bothered by this? Do you just get used to it? Thank you in advance for any advice. I'm pretty close to ordering a Lenovo, though I'd rather have a Mac.

It sounds like an issue of muscle memory, where your thumb is used to a lower space bar for some reason. I'd expect the problem to stop after a few days of use, tops... and in any case, it's no reason to choose another computer if you'd rather have a Mac.
