So I recently got a Late 2008 MacBook Pro which I like a lot, but there is one thing that bugs me. The keyboard brightness is cranked up to the max however it's still extremely dim. I sat it next to my Early 2008 MBP and you can see the difference. Anyone have ideas?

Thing's I've Done:
Reset PRAM
Reset SMU
Reseat the RAM
Check the connectors from the KB to the Logic Board
Disabled Ambient Light Sensor automatic settings in SP
Removed the com.apple.iokit.AmbientLightSensor.plist file

Having done all that it looks like you might have an issue with the backlight itself and need to take it in for service.
