This is a really minor point but something I've noticed since I have been using these Apple accessories - bluetooth keyboard, trackpad, mouse.

When you select any of these accessories in System Preferences, it will show the battery status (%), but if you attach a lightning cable to charge one of them, the status in System Preferences will not show that it is charging, nor will it update the % charged (at least not in real time). Interestingly, the trackpad does show a lightning bolt in the battery icon while charging, even though the % charged is not updating (the mouse and keyboard don't do that).

If you use the bluetooth icon on the menu bar and check each of the devices, it will show the current charge. And if you go to Bluetooth in System Preferences it will tell you if each is charging.

Not a complaint or big deal, just an observation. The info is obviously there but not consistently shown for the devices. And until I noticed the various ways you can check battery status, it wasn't obvious to me when my mouse battery was fully charged again and I could unplug it, since looking at System Preferences / Mouse wasn't updating.
