Keyboard trigger makes no sound in Logic Express?

I just bought a Line 6 Toneport KB37 sound-card. It has a keyboard which can be used as triggers. It works in Garageband but when I try to use it in Logic Express, it does not make any sound at all. Logic Express detects the keyboard because when I press any key it lights up a visual sound effect icon on the screen.

Do you know what is going on? I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks so much!

I don't have a Logic here to check the terminology, but (iirc) you have to set an audio source for the channel from the channel strip before you'll hear anything.
