keyboard troubleshoot

I got myself in a little trouble with the keyboard...

I used Monolingual and accidentally deleted keyboardlayout. (kind of realised in forums that it's kind of an usual screw up...)

I re-installed OSX Leopard from the dvd and now i can get access to a keyboard layout on the screen to imput the letters with the mouse, but the keyboard wont work...

It just produces a typewriter like sound... When i go to settings->keyboard the bluetooth keeps searching for it but doesn't find it...

anyone has an ideia about this?

If you go to Preferances->Bluetooth can you see your keyboard there? Also is the Discoverable checkbox selected?

You might also want to try and click on Advanced (bottom right) and tick the "Open Bluetooth Setup Assistant at startup..." option and give your Mac a restart and see if that helps.

Also finally you might want to double check the batteries (it could be a fluke but you never know) does the power light come on when you press the power button?
