I know crossposting is usually frowned upon, but I am a little ticked off  and most of the Mac Mini talk is about how poor the 2014 update is and I'm afraid that post will get lost. So here goes:

I have a 2012 Mac Mini i7Q running Yosemite. Whenever the machine goes to sleep, the trackpad will wake it up but the keyboard is dead. I have had to power off the machine every time to get it to work which is a PITA to say the least. I've been through the SMC and NVRAM/PRAM reset (per Apple support) to no avail. I've power cycled the machine more in the last week than in the last 15 months. I have really only rebooted for updates since I bought the machine.

The keyboard is an old Saitek Eclipse but I doubt that is the issue since so many others based on a Google search have had this issue after just about every upgrade in the last 3 years.

I NEVER had any issues under Mavericks. If I had enough spare HDD space for things I am not willing to lose, I would go back or do a clean install.

I guess sleep will get turned off until there is some patch or a reliable way to make it work again. I really don't want to do that but I imagine it's the only workaround to endless power cycles now.
