I just bought the new Mac keyboard (I'm an MBP user), and one of the things I was excited about was having a 'home' and 'end' key again... (WITHOUT using a modifier).... but, of course, they don't take me to the end of the line or beginning of the line as I'd hoped.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Do I have to actually map these keys to do what they're supposed to or something?

What application are you using?

Macs usually don't go to the start/end of line with Home/End. If e.g. there's a large text box, Home/End moves the view (but not the cursor) to the start or end of the text box. Cmd-right arrow and Cmd-left arrow move to the start and end of lines.

On the other hand in the MS Office apps, Home and End move to the start and end of lines.
