I turned on my PowerBook this morning, logging into iChat I get a message that "login" can't be found in my keychain. I tried to open Safari, and got a similar message opening this site. I've tried to "Reset to Defaults" but it keeps giving me the same message. I can't save any passwords or get my mail. This is really annoying, has anyone seen anything like this before? I'm at a loss here, I really don't want to re install Panther.... Any ideas?

Sounds like your keychain is corrupt. There are two things to try.

1. Open Keychain Access from /Applications/Utilities. Then select Window, Keychain First Aid. This will either fix it or not. If not, then do 2.

2. Drag your keychain to the trash, logout, and then log back in. It should recreate itself. But, you will loose all your settings.

Problem solved, I went into (login name)>Libraries>Keychains and put "login.Keychain" in the trash. Restarted, and it worked like a charm.
