I have forgotten my password for keychain!

What do I do?

There is not much you can do.

You can go into the Keychain Manager and create a new default keychain. From that point on you will basically be starting over with saving passwords and logins, but you won't be able to get back already stored information.

But that seems utterly riddiculous!

Why would they not creat a system to restore and recover a password?

I am stuck with this piece of garbage now?

As far as I know, there is no way around it. It sounds to me like a secure way to handle it. It is only your fault that you forgot your password.... If you are stuck with any "garbage" it is your own fault.

You might take a look at this page on Apple Support. I'm not sure if it is what you need, but it is worth a look.

You have to know the password to use that.
