Keychain problems

I had some problems with Keychain and access being lost on my (relatively) new MBP and wentn to the Liverpool store today. They got my mail access back but since then I am being asked to provide a password for different aspects of Keychain. I know this isn't normal, can anyone shine a light on what is happening?
