‘Keyhole’ heart operations cut patients’ trauma

This is the new cutting edge heart surgery. The incision is only one and three quarters of an inch. It will mean less pain. A shorter hospital stay. With a quicker recovery. There are still the procedures done via a vein in the leg or arm, but there are just times that surgery is needed.

I wonder if they can use this technology to do more surgeries on fetuses. We've seen that fetal surgery can be incredibly useful, but it's so dangerous to actually open the womb...

1 3/4" is still a large incission..... But who knows...
The technolgy will only continue to get better
