OK, picture the scene, spent hours researching a subject, done a fantastic slideshow thanks to keynotes, practised on the practice option with all my notes on my primary (secondary being the imaginary secondary screen) screen. Perfect. Now the only one presenting on a mac (pig headed) every one else on PC's. I am in the middle, so machine swap. (practised on a overhead the previous week and it worked). Laptop on, keynote loaded. Hitachi projector not detecting, so pressed detect screen, all comes up stretched on my lap top but ok on the projector. Press play..... no presenter display on the lap top, (thus no notes!). So clicked on keynote prefs swapped display options(just in case), still the same. By this time in a panic and angry. Did not know what to do, remembered something about screen mirroring (what ever that is) could not find it. So did the presentation with out notes, missed a lot out and winged it. Really p@$&*^/off. I can't practice on all the different projectors at the college. And seems that you cannot do a mirror option change unless you are connected to a projector! Its no point saying turn up early as the lecturers have the projectors and if they are late (real world) then stuffed. I need a quick set of procedures to go through that work to get the lap top to a) connect b) troubleshoot if it does not c) troubleshoot if i can't get the two screens, i.e. lap top notes etc. , projector showing the show, troubleshoot d) all under pressure!!!!!!!!!
I so don't want to go through all this again!!!!!!!!

(obviously i will be printing notes as back in future, but come on!![/FONT]
