Has anyone else noticed that Keynote 3 is extremely unstable? It seems I can't add simple transitions without it crashing. Grapher is also having major stability issues. (I'm trying to use the two of them for a scientific presentation). Could this be due to 10.4.4 (things seem slower all around since that update)? Aside from the stability, here are some confusing concerns I have:

1) Keynote: Why is there no way to make an animation play upon being clicked, rather than just playing immediately upon transitioning to the slide containing it?

2) Grapher: The X-axis seems completely unresponsive to adjustments in the Inspector of things like font color and axis tick marks. The y-axis works fine. WTF?!

3) Grapher: Why do the quantities in the Graph Layout use commas as the radix, instead of a period? Yes, for other countries this would be normal. Shouldn't there be language/region settings in Preferences? Also, why aren't these layout settings saved in the file? i.e., when I re-open the saved Grapher file, the layout is always reset and my plots are all screwy.

Are these just bugs? If so, can someone with an ADC membership send these comments to Apple? I know it won't get fixed before my presentation, but these problems border on the ridiculous. CurvusPro (i.e., Grapher before Apple bought it) never seemed to have these problems. What did Apple do to mess it up? Man, I wish I never deleted that program....

BTW, my setup is: 15" Al PowerBook G4 1.25GHz, 1.5GB ram, Mac OS 10.4.4, permissions frequently repaired.

Ugh,
