is there any way to add a song to a whole presentation in keynote and not just to a slide? can anybody help me with this?

To add it to the whole presentation, you don't drag the track from the media window onto the current slide. Instead, bring up the inspector and go to the document tab (first one), then click on the audio button near the to. Now go back to the media window and drag the file you want over to the grey box in the audio tab under where it says 'soundtrack'. You can also set it to loop from there.
