keynote app on old iPod touch

Hello,
I have the keynote app and was using it with keynote '09 on my mac (to control it); I was having a hard time connecting it today and I clicked "forget device" on the mac so that I could get refreshed connection. Now my Mac will not find or see the iPod. I have tried it on both my wifi network and via bluetooth.

Anyone else ran into this and have a fix?
