Hello,

I am a teacher who makes and revises lectures often. I switched to keynote recently and was very pleased with its ease.

HOWEVER, my lecture keynote file is 4gb!

Is it possible to have keynote "link to" files, such as images and videos, instead of importing them and storing them internally to the keynote file?

I see the "reduce file size", but I think that just reduces the resolution of the imported files and trims the videos... it still copies all the images from my local hard drive to the keynote file.

Any suggestions on managing keynote files?

Thanks,
Richard

In Keynote's settings you can uncheck a box to disable copying video files in the document. That should do the trick, at least whenever you import videos in the future.
