Keypad mysteriously jumps down and up when i start typing!

about two weeks ago something wierd happened. whenever i would start to use the keypad for typing, like i am doing now writing this post, the keyboard would jump down (disappear) and then spring back up. it really is an unsettling experience when trying to type something. but usually after it does it the first time, you can continue typing. is this a new bug in the system? (ipad 4th gen using about a year now)

Doesn't sound like a known or common issue. Have you reset your device recently? Did you install any new apps that are keyboard related? Just checking.

If not, that's a weird one....
