After an incredibly successful isopropanol clean and logic board oven bake because of a beer spill over the keyboard I have now brought my Macbook back to life!
Small issue being, pressing any key on the board instantly shuts the macbook down. Feels like a short circuit.
The Macbook was shut down within 8 seconds of spill and thoroughly dried and left for a week with battery out before any attempt to fix.
There are many layers under the keyboard which may have trapped moisture?
I hear it is possible to prise up each key to clean underneath, maybe I should try that?
Perhaps its at the point where the keyboard is connected to the motherboard? I'm pretty sure the mother board is now fully functioning.
Any helpful tips or advice greatly appreciated...that's why I'm here of course.
Cheers, Gavin
