Hi all--
Yesterday I received a Keystation 49e that I ordered from Apple Store. After unpacking and installing the included driver software, I wasn't able to see the keyboard in any Audio MIDI configuration, though it was drawing power through USB. After several hours of updating driver software from m-audio.com, creating new clean uers, and trying the keyboard on another iMac, I was resigned to the fact that I had received a dead keyboard.
As a last resort, I tried swapping the USB cable with one from my Zip drive. Suddenly, the keyboard was recognized as a MIDI device and is working (and fun!) with GB.
I don't know whether my problem was unique or whether m-audio shipped some of the keyboards with defective USB plugs, but I thought I'd post my experience here to help others that might be having the same problem!
