Today I did a 2700m swimming workout and I had 400m's of kick sets. Apple Watch expectedly did not track any kick sets since my hands were not moving. I'm ok with that. But what's interesting is, the calorie count didn't increase during the kick set either. The watch was tracking my heartrate, which was still elevated due to kicking, yet after 50 meters I could only see +1-2 calories burned, which is ridiculous.
Apple should add some shortcut to notify the watch that we are doing kicksets, and it should at least continue to track calorie burn even if hands are not moving.
