Hey guys hope someone here can help...I decided to buy a book through amazon for kindle because it was cheaper than the ibooks version however I know most books have drm so if they do they can only (Legally) be read in the kindle app...

However I downloaded a sample of the book I wanted first and it states in the book..

"Thank you for buying this book. You may have noticed that it is free of digital rights management. This means we have not enforced copy protection on it. All tor ebooks are available DRM-free so that once you purchase one of our ebooks, you can download it as many times as you like, on as many e-readers as you like."

Now I downloaded the ebook...and found the file stored in the kindle folder on my mac...when I try to convert it using a converter it says it is drm protected... which means I can't convert it legally..

Am I right in thinking that would be false advertising and that I should actually be able to convert it legally so I can put it into iBooks ?

I just tried calibre but I get the same problem... I wonder if its worth complaining to Amazon about it... Its what made me decide to buy it from them rather than getting it more expensive on ibooks... (I like to have all my books in iBooks)

I would have rather bought it in iBooks though if I knew it was DRM protected.
