The one thing I don't like about iBook is that is has none of the books I would want to buy. The one thing I don't like about Kindle is that there is no way to search for text in the book like iBook. Is there a way to convert kindle books to iBooks or a way to search the text of a book in kindle?

You can strip the DRM from the kindle book and then convert it to epub for iBooks. It's pretty easy but you'll have to google, I'm sure the instructions are not allowed here.

I'm kind of surprised that the iPad/iPhone apps for Kindle don't have search. They've added almost every other useful feature (aside from the dictionary -- which I think is really useful) that's in the Kindle. The search on an actual physical Kindle works very nicely.

And yes, please don't discuss means of controverting the DRM in the books here....
