The weird thing is that I replaced the HyperX with some Corsair Vengeance and they ran at 1600...

Orlandoech macrumors 68040 Jun 2, 2011 3,341 888 Aug 30, 2012 #4 I ran HyperX on my 2011 15" and it ran at 1600mhz with no issues. There are two models of HyperX and only one works correctly. One model has that pc feature where it auto clocks. The models ending in "G" work and the model ending in "GX" doesn't run at 1600mhz This is the model I ran with no issues. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104317
