Sorry if this has been addressed before. I was looking to upgrade my black Macbook (last generation, 2.4) from 2 to 4 gigs of RAM. I noticed on Newegg that the Kingston HyperX RAM was the same price as the Kingston "mac" RAM. Would there be any advantages in getting the HyperX? Any disadvantages?

I dont think any kind of RAM will give you anything more than another kind.
It would be so minimal that no one could notice. 4GB is 4GB

I was wondering if there were any compatibility issues with the HyperX RAM, being CAS 4. I was reading the tech info on the Apple site, and they mentioned that Macbooks support RAM with CAS 5

If Apple says CAS5 then thats what I would get if I were you. That way you know everything should be in sync
