Kingston SSDnow V+ 256 GB just installed on my 2.8 Ghz MBP... Hollar! Wicked fast. Made in Korea with Samsung controller.

$699 at Fry's Electronics, I was surprised they stocked them along with the 128GB... better than then BTO option on Apple website, so I bought it and installed myself.

Seems to be plenty fast for what I am using it for... Applications launch without hesitation, importing of Audio CD's is quick, iMovie works with no hiccups. Plus it is Kingston, the company name itself stands for something.

Even more ironic is that I bought it for the same price as the Intel 160 GB is going for on Amazon.com, so thats 96 more GB for the same price. I tested the 1st generation Intel SSD and this Kingston seems much faster. I have not had a chance to run Xbench yet, but I will soon.
