I'm trying to use Kismac on the MacBook is PASSIVE monitoring mode. However, when trying to initialize the driver, it says it doesn't work on MBPs and Mac Minis (IE: it thinks my machine is a pro).

It will work on Active mode using airport extreme, it just gives me that error in passive.

CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP!?

It seems that the last kismac update was on 26 April, before the MacBook came out. That would explain why it doesn't know specifically about your model.

You could poke around on the developer site and see if there is support in the unstable versions.

okay: it says here that there is some working stuff at least checked into subversion, if not the prebuilt binary. So it looks like you have some experimentation ahead of you :)

Duh! Good spotting. I'm thinking that just the MBP didn't work (thinking for some reason the MB did). Didn't think about the fact that it was the only available hardware at the time!

Guess I can stop cussing at my machine! Thanks!
