Hi all,

Okay looking for replacement for NetStumbler. I quite like the look of Kismac but it looks like it is stuck in a development cycle and I don't have the knowledge to download and compile the latest code.

Can you suggest an alternative?

Thanks
Mark

KisMac development could be faster, but they are progressing.
Just follow their guide on how to compile the latest subversion. If you are having major trouble doing that, you could always try their IRC channel for help. I've had good experiences there.

Don't think you'll be hacking networks without being able to klick on a script you downloaded using a terminal command. :p ;)

Thank you for the response, but I think you are giving me a little more credit than I am due. I am a PC to Mac convert and am still getting used to the terminology, let alone how things actually work.

I did check out there FAQ section and found myself here http://kismac.de/faq.php/How+can+I+build+an+install+package?

I am happy to learn, but if you could point me directly to the reference you are talking about I would appreciate it.

Regards
Mark
