iPod touch Klipsch iGroove SXT would not charge my 2G iPod Touch

Does anyone have a Klipsch iGroove SXT speakers? I've just got one from Amazon today and found that it will not charge my iPod touch. The message "Charging is not supported with this accessory" appears on the touch every time I dock it. This is totally annoying! It sounds good though.

Can this problem be fixed by firmware update or should I return the speakers to Amazon?

No, the problem cannot be fixed with a firmware update. If you want speakers that will charge your new ipod you will have to send yours back to amazon and buy something else. Apple switched from firewire charging to usb charging.
