Hey guys! New to the forums here, so I thought I'd introduce myself and just start off with a review. This is a review of the Klipsch Image S2 Earbuds. I bought these for 30 USD on Amazon, although now the price has gone up a few dollars. Just keep an eye on it and see if it drops soon, because I know Amazon pricing changes often.

These are, for the money, a phenomenal pair of earbuds. They have pretty nice build quality, with the exception of one slightly uneven rubber detail strip. They are a full plastic construction, which right out of the box made me a little wary that they might not be of the highest quality, but after further inspection, the Klipsch quality really showed through. They are built nicely and have a rubber lower base, so as to lighten the stress on the cable. The one thing I wish was different is the cable. The cable is pretty thin and because of that, it gets tangled easily, and also, if it rubs against a zipper or a jacket, there is a significant amount of cable noise (but I only noticed it while running). The sound is pretty nice. The highs are defined, but not in your face. The mids are a little recessed, but still much better than other headphones. And the lows are exceptional. They're not overpowering at all, and the lows stay really clean and undistorted at any volume level, with any genre of music. I mainly use these for listening to tech-house and trance, with some techno, dubstep (non of that Skrillex nonsense, I'm talking the real dark and dubby stuff back in the good old days of 2005-2008), and hip-hop. I have also used these to listen to a decent amount of rock, mostly indie and alternative, such as Death Cab, Dispatch, Black Taxi, and some other indie stuff like Miike Snow and Passion Pit. The thing I really like about these is that they're very balanced. These are a huge step up for anyone who is looking for something other than those horrible Apple earbuds that come standard with iDevices. The 3.5mm stereo auxiliary jack is gold-plated and sits at a Y angle with some rubber support on the sides, so as not to put too much stress on the cable. By far the best earbuds I have listened to for less than 65 dollars, and IMO, better than the Beats line (which I am not fond of, as the bass is far overpowering and actually very muddled, despite what the Beats fan boys will tell you). I can really appreciate a good product at a good price when I come across one, and this is just one of those products. Here's the link to Amazon (cheaper than the Klipsch site): http://amzn.to/Ht6zQV

So that's my review, as well as my first post on these forums. I look forward to meeting you all over time here, as it seems like a cool community. Anyway, have a nice day everyone! Peace.
