No nothing about audio except what I have read here on this forum and trust me you are light years ahead of where I will ever be. Need an audio/midi interface, want decent sound, but don't need extravagant. Usage will be podcasting on a pc at work with 6th graders, guitar, vocal recordings at home on a Mac.

Does anyone know anything specific about either of these two units. I know that you get what you pay for, but we aren't doing professional recording. Alesis IO14 14-Channel FireWire Audio/MIDI Interface or Yamaha GO46 FireWire Audio/MIDI Interface (Macintosh and Windows). Any advice would be appreciated and thanks in advance.
